Finally, it's the time of the year that you have been waiting for: summer vacation. No more homework, getting up early for class, or staying up late to finish papers. Now it's three entire months of sleeping in, seeing old high school friends and homemade meals. Who better to express your joy for summer other than the one and only Kristen Wiig?
1. Sleeping in.
No more 8:30 a.m. classes, just sleeping in until whenever you feel like it.
2. Homemade meals.
No more of living off of ramen and Easy Mac. Now you get homemade meals and a kitchen that's open 24/7.3. Seeing your old friends.
Reuniting with friends that you haven't seen in months is great. You hear their stories and tell your own adventures of college, realizing how much you are all growing up.
4. Driving.
There's nothing better than driving around town, blasting music and singing along.5. Getting a job.
Too bad summer isn't totally work-free. Summer jobs or an internship are probably on your schedule because college is expensive. And because you probably have no money in your bank account after spending the semester getting take-out and buying clothes you don't need.6. No more stress.
No more homework or tests. Summer is just meant for relaxing.
7. Unpacking.
If you're anything like me, you procrastinate unpacking because that means summer is really here. So you have boxes of your stuff scattered around your house, saying you'll unpack tomorrow; but then tomorrow turns into the next day... and the next day.
8. Reuniting with your family.
Half of the time they drive you crazy, but deep down you love them.9. Summer TV shows.
*Cough cough* "The Bachelorette." *Cough cough*
10. Having time and the nice weather to be outside.
11. Traveling with the family.
Whether it's going to the lake or the ocean or the camp, the family traditions of traveling places will stay with you forever.
12. Missing your college friends.
You know it's bad when it hasn't even been an entire day separated from your friends and you already miss them.13. Shopping and getting summer outfits.
Everyone could use some good retail therapy after a stressful week of finals.14. Trying not to drink as much coffee.
Because it's not within walking distance, plus it's more expensive.15. Catching up on your Netflix.
Not leaving the house for a few days for binge watching and catching up on all of the TV shows that you put off to study for finals.16. Having the room to yourself.
It's weird not being surrounded by people almost 24/7. The freedom is nice, but it takes time to adjust to being alone and having the space to yourself again.
