The summer anime this year is another great lineup for the industry.

The spring season of anime has come and gone, and now we are halfway through the year. Anime for the past few years have been thrilling and it still keeps going! For me personally, I watched about nine or ten different series for spring and that is the most I have ever done as an anime-watcher. This year's summer looks like it will have another great lineup with more sequels and adaptions. This season is another huge year for myself because I am racking up a total of eight anime I am going to watch. Which is why I am going to talk about the three anime series I am the most excited for!

Before we start I want to mention that shows that premiered in the spring season and continue to summer will not be in this list. Also, the anime I am going to talk about are not movies will solely be TV series for this article. These series I talk about have already started by the time this article releases.

1. Overlord III (VRV, Crunchyroll, Funimation).

The anime I am the most excited for is "Overlord III." When the series first began in 2015, it caught my attention but I never watched it, sadly. It took me three years to finally watch it and didn't start until midway season two this past winter. I felt bad for not watching it for so long, but I realized that I got into it at the best time. Waiting for three years would have driven me mad and lose some interest. I got lucky to start when I did so that now I can stick as close with it as possible. Especially since "Overlord II" set up so much stuff that will be in this upcoming season like "The Invaders of the Large Tomb" arc and possibly "The Magic Caster of Destroy" arc. Maybe "The Two Leaders" arc will be adapted but I wouldn't be surprised if that is held for future OVAs for the series.

2. Hanebado (VRV, Crunchyroll, Funimation).

"Hanebado" is an interesting series that I can see people overlooking. Obviously for the biggest reason of how it is a sports anime about badminton. Let's reflect though to realize that anime always takes something that people cannot imagine as a show and just does it. I am excited about this series because of my own childish and nostalgic reasons, for the most part. I played quite a bit of badminton back in my day and absolutely have respect for the sport. As of writing this article, I have already seen the first episode and I can't wait to see more. You get a sense that there is a lot of emotional stakes for almost every single character. Plus, "Hanebado" is done by Toho Animation and they hit it right of the park again to have a beautifully animated series.

3. Banana Fish (Amazon Prime).

Lastly, we have "Banana Fish" which is a modern adaption of its original 1980s to 1990s manga run. At first, I was not going to take time to watch the series, but then I watched its trailer to become a little more hopeful. From discussions I have had with others about this series the trailer looks like it is pretty close to the source material; even if this adaption is set to modern day. "Devilman Crybaby" and "Parasyte -the maxim-" are great examples of taking something that had an original manga run from decades ago and beautifully retold in a modern setting. That is why I will give "Banana Fish" its three-episode try before I fully move along past it.

Of course, there are other notable series coming out like season three of "Attack on Titan" and "Lupin the 3rd: Part 5." The three anime series I talked about though are just my personal preference. I would love to hear what series you are looking forward to and we all can enjoy this new season of anime together!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
