Suicide Squad came out on Friday, and I got to watch it Thursday night. There were so many points throughout the movie that made me roll my eyes, laugh out loud, or gasp audibly. And, so, I present to you: Suicide Squad Reviewed Through GIFs.
Harley's flashback to when she fell into a vat of god-knows-what
All the flashbacks were getting confusing and overdone to the point that I just wanted them to stop. They were all pretty poorly done, but this one...well, let's just say Ron is literally me.
Not being able to focus on Enchantress because Cara's eyebrows kept distracting you
Don't get me wrong, Cara Delevingne is gorgeous, funny and talented. But she's known for being silly (especially with the use of her crazy eyebrows) and seeing her in such a serious role was too werid.
When El Diablo spilled his guts in a drunken therapy session
Chato Santana was a wonderful, interesting character. He had a mysterious secret, intense feelings, and a meaningful backstory. Jay Hernandez did a wonderful job portraying El Diablo's emotions. Bravo! Well, not for making us sob, but, ya know.
Every time Katana appeared on screen
Am I the only one that wants a movie featuring Katana?! I mean the girl was so damn cool! She could hold her own in a fight, but she wasn't stone cold either. Tatsu Yamashiro also had a backstory that we know very little about...hmmm.
When Waller shoots her own people
That was completely unnecessary, Amanda!
Each time Captain Boomerang opened his mouth
It kind of sucked finding out that Digger Harkness was used as a static joker throughout the whole movie instead of offering a dynamic personality. But, we'll make an exception to this loss of potential because he was, well, hilarious. When Flash made an appearance
Simultaneous gasps were heard throughout the theater when Boomerang's flasback included one of my favorite DC superheros: Flash. After Deadshot 'misses' his shot aimed at Harley
I was a little confused when Deadshot accepted Waller's offer to shoot Harley Quinn as she escaped with Joker, but he managed to impressed. Will Smith's character added a little twist to the movie when he proclaimed his friendship for Quinn through.
Realizing Harley Quinn was stripped of her deep, emotional persona and transformed into a sex symbol
Harley Quinn deserves to be portrayed as a passionate, loving (albeit a little insane) woman. Harley is many things: crazy, funny, beautiful, dangerous. But the one thing she is not? A pawn that exists for the male gaze. Happens every time. Every. Damn. Time.
