12 Things Subway Workers Wish Their Customers Knew Part II

Work can be great, but sometimes our customers can make it a little stressful.

Do you work in a place where you are constantly "dealing" with customers face to face? Places like; Subway, Walmart, Target, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, the list is endless. Point is we've all been there where there are things that we wish our customers knew or at least cared enough to know.

For me, I work at Subway and there is an endless list of things that we wish our customers knew. Now this will be a part two, seeing how I have already written one. However, it seems that I have missed a few things from my previous that I feel should be shared. They may seem pointless to some, but for us it makes all the difference.

1. Clean up after you & your childrenĀ

Yes, I have mentioned this once before. However, it seems to be repeated. If your kids make a mess please clean it up or at least teach them to clean it up.

2. Soda ran out?

If the syrup to the soda runs out and you're the one to notice please let us know. We will be able to change it and you will still be able to enjoy the drink of your choice. We understand you might be in a hurry, but it will be helpful for later customers who might want it.

3. Leaving?

This is just rude, if you are ordering a sandwich and tell us your whole order just so you can go next door to get gas it's annoying. We understand that you may be in a rush, but you have to understand that remembering an order can be difficult especially if you're getting more than one sandwich with different ingredients on them. Either go before or after ordering.

4. The toilet paper

If you are the last person to use the toilet paper or you're the one who notices that there isn't anymore in the bathroom please let us know. By letting us know it will help everyone over all.

5. Paying attention

This is just disrespectful it any way you slice it. (No pun intended) While in line ordering, please don't have your face in your phone or be on a phone call. We understand you might be getting a sandwich for someone but it just looks bad. Also, don't have a conversation with others while we are trying to make your sandwich and their's. We are trying to do our jobs and we feel awkward when we have to talk over you to ask if there was anything else on the sandwich. Please be considerate.

6. Sitting down

If we are making your sandwich it makes it easier and go by much faster if you're in line telling us what you want. However, some of you seem to feel that it's okay to just sit down before we finish making your food. We understand you might be tired, but it comes across as if you might not care about your food. It's also disrespectful. Just wait until after you pay to sit down.

7. Prices

Prices do change after a while and despite what most people might think, us workers have no control over that. We only work there, we don't have any say about it. Also, adding bacon does cost extra so don't get mad if your $5.49 comes out to $7.00 because you forgot that bacon cost extra.

8. The toilet

Please don't put paper towels in the toilet it doesn't belong there and it could really do damage to it. Also, if the toilet is clogged, please let us know. If you're embarrassed you can tell us quietly we understand, but it could help us for the next customer.

9. The chips

While your in line ordering, please don't eat your chips while telling us what you want. We can't understand what your saying and we can hardly hear you while you are reaching your hand in the bag. So please, just wait to eat the chips until after you pay.

10. Spills

If you or someone with you spills their drink please tell us. We understand that accidents happen, we will be able to mop it up before it makes the floor sticky.

11. Paying

Please don't have us ring you out while your sandwich is in the toaster or even before you place your order. We understand you might be in a rush to leave, but it won't help you get out any faster, it'll be the same amount of time. We try our best to make your sandwich the way you want it and as fast as we can.

12. Anger

We understand everyone has a bad day. However, getting mad and leaving because we don't have the bread you want is a bit disrespectful. We understand you want that specific type of bread, but you should understand that we can run out of bread sometimes. We try our best to stay on top of everything to make sure we have enough for the day. However, it's difficult because every day is different and we don't know how many people are going to get a big order or how many people will be coming in that day.

Overall, please be respectful we try our best to make a great Subway experience for you when you come in. we all have our days where we don't want to socialize or deal with people, but we all have to regardless. It helps if we all try to make it a little easier and less stressful on those who are making your food.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
