In 2010, Moolaguides was created on Florida State’s campus and it has been a well-known and popular name here ever since. One of the main reasons why Moolaguides has been so popular is because Moolaguides help students to achieve those two things that we’re all focused on: good grades and money.Moolaguides is a website that allows students to upload their personal notes, and buy other’s notes. The website becomes especially popular around midterms and finals week each year. This past year, a new player in the game started to make a big splash on campus. This company, Flashnotes, is similar to Moolaguides in that it offers a place for students to sell and buy study guides, but it also offers one-on-one tutoring, and the opportunity to create groups for you and your friends to share notes privately.

After a beautiful run on Florida State’s campus and with four years of success and over 400,000 dollars paid out to FSU students, this semester Moolaguides was acquired by Flashnotes. Thomas Brady, founder of Moolaguides, reassured FSU students by telling us, “between their team, knowing their mission, knowing what they’re truly about, and their incredible partnerships, I am certain that you guys are going to be in the best of hands”. The Moolaguides website is still up and running, but Flashnotes will slowly start to contact the current Moolaguides sellers and have them make the transition over to Flashnotes.

Flashnotes is an awesome company and it has already made its presence known on Florida State’s campus with cool prize giveaways like t-shirts that say “#Pays2Study” and a coozie sporting the phrase,  “Cheers to my GPA”. Flashnotes is currently holding a contest to see who can create the best video depicting how to gear up for finals. The winner will be awarded 250 dollars! Flashnotes is full of all sorts of contests, prizes, and rewards for selling your notes.

If you are more interested in buying notes, create an account on the website and simply search for your school and course. Each note-seller will have a preview and a short blurb about the details of his or her notes so that you can decide which notes are best for you. It is as easy as that!
