Having a good heart is such a blessing and a curse. We constantly put our all into everything, and sometimes we forget that not everyone does the same. It's a learning experience, but if you are anything like me and you have a good heart, i'm here to tell you it's okay.
Here are some things you probably know all too well if you have a big heart.
1. You're forgiving.
As someone who has a big heart, I can say for sure that second, third and even fourth chances are always given, even after you have promised yourself that "this is the last time."
2. You see the best in people.
You have had people do you wrong in your life so many times, but you still try and succeed in finding good in them. Your friends and your parents warn you, but you continue to see everything good and you always let it outweigh the bad, no matter how much bad there really is.
3. You feel everything.
When something bad happens, you really feel it, whether or not this bad thing happened to you or someone you know. Nothing ever escapes you.
4. You're a good listener.
More than likely, you're the one out of your friends that everyone talks to. You give advice and you're always willing to help but when the situation is reversed, you never know how to ask anyone else to listen. Deep down, you do want others to help you the way you helped them, but you just aren't sure how to accept the help.
5. You're always trusting.
When someone tells you something, you just believe them automatically because you yourself would never say something that wasn't true, but that isn't the case for others. Even after you have heard lie after lie after lie, you still never doubt anyone even when you should.
6. You still believe in love.
If you're anything like me, you do still believe that there is someone out there in this world that is meant just for you. Even after all the heartbreaks and let downs, you never let it stop you from the possible chance of finding your person. You always love hard, and with your whole heart.
The most important thing you need to realize is that not everyone will have the same heart as you. We do things differently, and that's okay. I wouldn't ever want to change a thing.
