In the past year, I've discovered what a wonderful food avocados are. I know, given the recent obsession with avocados, you're probably wondering how I just discovered my love for them now. While I finally understand the love for guacamole, I don't love struggling to find the absolute best guacamole.
Finding the perfect guacamole can seriously be so difficult. There are so many ways to make it, including many wrong ways. It's a shame that most restaurants charge extra for guac because most times it's not all that great. The guac can really make or break a restaurant.
If you're an avocado lover you will definitely understand these unfortunate guacamole mistakes:1. Too limey.
2. Wrong color green.
3. Not enough salt or pepper.
4. Too much onion.
5. Texture has to be perfect.
6. Too spicy.
7. Not enough flavor.
8. Big chunks of tomato.
9. Being nervous to try new recipes.
Fear no more! Try my guacamole recipe for the perfect guacamole and never be on the hunt again:
3 avocados
1/4 red onion
3/4 tomato
1/2 lime
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Combine all ingredients. Make sure to cut onion and tomato into very small pieces. Add enough salt, pepper and garlic powder for your taste. If you like a big of spice to your guac, add half a jalapeno (remove all seeds).
