The True Struggles Of Finals Week

We all know that finals week is the most dreaded week of all when it comes to a college student (well at least I know it is for me). It's not just the week where we have a whole bunch of last minute assignments (that we probably procrastinated on) and piled up exams coming our way, but when our life just seems to all fall apart. I don't know about you but my whole life seems to fall apart during that week. It's like it's a sign that is preparing me for finals week. It's the struggles of finals week.... as if finals are not enough to worry about.

1. You have an idea of how your grades are right now, and you're contemplating whether you want to calculate what you need on the final to get an A... i mean a solid C+.

2. As if you don't have enough to study for and worry about - you ask your professor if something is on the test and they tell you they haven't made the test yet.. but everything will be on the test.

3. You think you have your life together the whole entire semester, but finals just remind you how much of that is not true..

4. Your body just knows finals week is coming, so your immune system shuts down and wants you to be sick.. I guess another sign of you dying more and more via finals

5. Speaking of sick, you're losing energy more and more everyday to get yourself together.

6. So you end up looking like this ...

7. When you walk into the room to take the test feeling accomplished, but you see choices like this.. so you decide to choose the odd answer, but realize there's all the above and none the above. Why did we even bother studying again?

8. You all of a sudden remember all the other important things you have to do in your life - including that one text you've been curving. So why not hit them up with a text at midnight?

9. When you ask for extra credit, but you know your professor is going to make you name every single word in a dictionary for one point...

10. When you knock one final down and want to sleep, but you realize you have so many more to go.

11. With having so many more things to do being said...

13. And when you wake up, you realize you screwed up falling asleep. So you start stress-eating.. as if that's going to keep you awake. What's healthy eating again?

14. Well, back to another final you have to take thinking it'll get better. JUST KIDDING! Second time definitely isn't the charm, maybe a third time?

15. But it's okay because you're finally done with finals. And maybe your life will start to get back together..

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
