Being an art major isn't fun and games like people seem to think. Drowning in core classes as well as art projects and spending all of your money on supplies is just part of the lifestyle. If you are an art major, you probably know these situations well.
1. When someone mentions that you're an artist to someone you don't know like.
Because it seems like the only thing you've done so far is be overcritical about your work and you don't know if that counts as being an artist.
2. When people assume you don't have just as much work as them because you aren't an "academic major".
Not only do I have the same core classes as you, but I have to create awesome pieces of art on the reg and that's not an easy task.
3. When your art professor asks how your latest project is going.
"Fine, It's looking pretty good so far..." Meanwhile, you haven't decided what to draw and you don't know why you even said that.
4. "Draw me".
Ha, no.
5. When your professor asks if you want to go first for critique.
Again, no.
6. Spending more money on supplies for your art class than all of your textbooks combined.
No... but it's the reason I'm broke.
