Sometimes it seems that everything just piles up at once. You suddenly have papers, exams and projects all due within the same week. And you just remembered that you were assigned to read three chapters from your textbook for tomorrow's 9 a.m. Great. Honestly, nothing is better than a serving of stress with some extra stress on the side.

1. "Why do my professors hate me?"

It's like they decided to make everything due on the same day on purpose.

2. "There's not enough time in the day to do all of this."

(Phase one:)

Sleep is for the weak. I will stay focused and get all of this done even if this means that I only get two hours of sleep!

3. "There's not enough time in the day to do all of this."

(Phase two:)

Sleeps day away because of stress overload.

4. "I'll just quickly finish this and then I can go to sleep!"

*Falls asleep while doing homework*

*Wakes up in a panic attack at some ungodly hour*

5. "This is easily the hardest week of my life."

(Says every week of the school year.)

6. *Cries*

*Continues crying*

7. "Hmm, I should probably eat something."

*Woke up at 8 in the morning, is now 10 at night*

8. "OK, maybe I'll just take a quick power nap."

*Lays down and can't fall asleep because there's too much to do*

9. *Has coffee for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.*

Coffee has some nutrients, right?

10. "Why did I think growing up was going to be fun?"

I take it all back. Please, someone, take me back to an easier time. Please.

11. "Alright, if I go to bed right now and wake up at four to finish my work, then I'll get precisely three hours and 27 minutes of sleep!"

This is the sad truth.

12. "I'm ready to start this essay!"

*Stares at blank Word document for an hour.*

13. "I just don't get it."

Too bad you can't email your professor and ask because then they'll know you waited last minute to do it.

14. "I'll make a to-do list."

Then proceeds to get stressed out seeing everything that needs to be done and takes a nap.

15. "I'm never procrastinating again."

*Wraps self in blanket, eating Easy Mac, forgetting about an assignment that's due tomorrow*

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
