We have all experienced stress in one way or another. Maybe it is something as small as one mistake on an assignment or feeling like everything is piling up. You know, drowning in a sea of never-ending assignments with no motivation to get it done. I am that student every single semester. I could be doing amazing in all my classes, but one tiny thing could go wrong and I feel defeated. I am currently the stressed out student and I know I am not alone. My university has 3 weeks left of regular classes and I hit my breaking point about 3 weeks ago, so you could say I am struggling to make it to the finish line.
With all that said I want to share with you a few things to remember when you are stressed to the max.
1. Everyone needs encouragement from a friend.
You do not have to go through a stressful time by yourself. Talk to someone! It is okay to cry, I promise they will understand.
2. Take a breather once and awhile.
We all know that a break is like forbidden when doing assignment after assignment but it is okay to relax! During most of my study or writing breaks, you can find me asleep somewhere with my laptop near by.
3. Do something fun with your squad.
Between awful assignments remember to have some fun!
4. Remember to eat!
Just because your stressed does not mean you should skip eating. Fix a meal of your favorite food and enjoy.
5. You are not the only one.
Talk to your friends and/or classmates and you will find that they are just as stressed as you are.
6. Your grades do not define who you are!
Just do your best because that is all you can do.
7. Call your friends.
My best friends don't go to college with me so hanging out is rare, so when we get to talk it is the best time. Sometimes all you need is to laugh at all the work you have while telling your best friend.
8. Singing reduces stress.
I started an account on "Sing!" and it says that singing decreases stress. I definitely agree. Just have fun and sing at the top of your lungs. Oops another High School Music gif, but they are just so relatable.
9. Most importantly remember that laughing is the best cure.
I have a sticky note on my wall that says, "Laugh a little more". It reminds me that a good laugh every now and then is the best cure.
I hope these gifs made you laugh a little and the points helped ease your stressed out state of mind. We can do this!
