The 2016 presidential election is very different than previous years' elections due to the widespread beliefs of the past and present candidates. With the two main nominees being the firmly Republican Donald Trump and the first female nominee for the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton, many people are left wondering about what the outcome will be come November. For some, day-to-day life could change dramatically depending on who is selected as the new Commander-In-Chief, which is quite unsettling.

Unfortunately, excessive worrying about the future can have some unpleasant physiological side effects (such as lowered immune defense, acne, gastrointestinal problems, etc.). To help you get your mind off of the impending chaos scheduled to erupt once the new president has been elected, I have compiled a list of Welsh Corgis who have made themselves famous on Instagram. Feel free to follow them if you would like (I definitely do) -- they provide an excellent temporary distraction from life's stressors. #CorgiForPresident?

Loki (@lokistagram)

Loki, a 5-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, resides in British Columbia, Canada. According to his website, he is "the most followed Corgi on social media, with a combined following of over 1.4 million."

Andi (@andi_corgi)

Andi was born on the 13th of June, which means he is still in full-on puppy mode! According to his owners, he is part bunny and part fox. That could be quite possible, since his favorite mode of transportation seems to be hopping, and he dons some adorable satellite ears (the signature corgi look).

Meatball (@meatballcorgi)

Meatball resides with her family in Taipei, Taiwan. She is most often seen wearing a face like the one above -- complete with buggy eyes and tongue out to the world (although there is one photo where she's winking, no doubt aware of the handsome pup she is).

Sherlock (@sherlockfluffycorgi)

Sherlock is almost a year old and lives in Vienna, Austria. Sherlock is fluffy, which is seemingly less common than the short-haired variety of Welsh Corgis (the AKC charges "faults" against long-haired, fluffy corgis in showing). Showing is not a necessity, though, and Sherlock should not be ashamed to be fluffy and fabulous!

Abby (@abbythefluffycorgi)

Meet Abby, another fluffy Corgi! She lives in the Golden State of California. Her days are spent enjoying long walks in the park and relaxing on the beaches of her warm home state. She even recently attended a Corgi meet-up at a beach in Cali (appropriately called "CorgiCon").

Hambone, Cupcake, and Wolfgang (@threecorgis)

Meet Cupcake, Hambone, and Wolfgang! The furry trio also resides on the west coast in Hermosa Beach, California. This inseparable corg-pack also frequents sandy beaches and the occasional meet-up. What better way is there to take one's mind off of their worries than going to a beach full of stumpy-legged dogs enjoying a sunny day?

Dottie (@lottiefreekindottie)

Dottie, the Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog, mix is truly a one-of-a-kind with her blue merle fur markings and partial heterochromia (one of her eyes is slightly different in coloring). Shown here, Dottie is rocking some sweatbands in honor of the Fourth of July. A true patriot, really.

Hopefully taking a look at these few Corgis have given you a bit of a break from worrying about America's future -- or any of your worries, really. Only time will tell if #CorgiForPresident will come through for us all ("You get a treat! You get a treat! Everyone gets a treat!").

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
