The statement "there are always two sides of the story" is definitely true. However, if you have heard this before you also know that this doesn’t mean that one side of the store is false and the other side is true. Instead, what this means is that every person involved in a situation is going to have a slightly different view of what happened because not everyone is going to interpret things the exact same way.
When you are talking to someone after an event has happened you don’t get to tell them that what they saw and what they know to be true is not what happened or is false. You have your side and they have their side.
Neither is wrong.
You don’t get to tell someone that what they know to be true didn’t happen or that it isn’t the way something went down. You don’t get to do that to someone because when you do, not only are you telling them that they are wrong, but you are also telling them that something might be wrong with their brain and their memory.
There are two sides to every story, neither are wrong. The second people start to take sides is the second that people start to get hurt and throw a fit.
The second people take sides is the second that someone loses all their friends.
The second people start to pick sides is the second families get split into two different sides. Every story has two sides. Don’t hurt others by making people pick sides.
In the end, every party involved in a conflict has a part of the story and they think that things went down a little differently than others. No one that was involved is going to agree on what happened and no one should be blamed for what happened. However, no one has the right to tell anyone involved in the situation that they are wrong in how it went down.
