PSA; Stop Using People

First off, I'll admit that I'm looking for tons of shares here, but not for me. I want this shared because I want this message to reach anyone and everyone, because everyone needs to hear it.

Odds are, you've used someone, and there's an even higher chance that you have been used. And I know what you are thinking, "I can't think of a single time I've used someone." Puhhhlease! Everybody does it, some of us just don't delude ourselves with the idea that we are perfect.

There are hundreds of different ways to use another human being. From bosses using employees, to using another body for sex, there's no denying that it happens daily, and no matter what, it's not healthy.

There's a lot of people out there that are just givers. They can't say no and that gets taken advantage of. These beautiful souls will spend all their time and money just to please. It's heartbreaking that this kindness can be a bad thing. Because when the user gets a taste of the giver's amity, often times they will proceed to walk all over them time and time again.

In the workforce, there is always that one brown-nosing employee. We all think that he or she is just sucking up, but honestly? They're just givers, being used by the big man. Think about it. Now employee/boss relationships have a fine line because money is exchanged, but an employee can still be taken advantage of and so can a boss. Is that fair? No. But it happens.

I think that the biggest example of one person using another is romantic or sexual. And when your'e a teen or in your early 20's, I think that this does the most damage. It ruins one's self esteem, but we all do it. We've all been the subject of somebody's late nigh calls, but not of their "good morning" texts. Or we have helped someone we truly care about get over someone they really care about, just to find out that they don't actually care about us. We've talked to someone all day everyday, and made them feel better about themselves, just so they had someone to keep them from feeling lonely. It's an awful feeling. So why would anybody do this to anyone else?

Well I'm here to tell you that not everybody who uses you has malicious intent. By nature, humans are subconsciously selfish creatures. If something makes us feel good, we're going to keep doing it no matter the damage. We need someone to make us feel good, compliment us, do favors for us, BECAUSE IT'S EASY. Using people is the easy way out.

We use people because we don't want to make ourselves happy. Loving ourselves is too hard. So we destroy other people in making them love us.

Well, quit your shit. It's harmful and terrible and you need to love yourself. Be confident in yourself and your own abilities and you will feel so many less negative emotions. You won't need to use people.

You were made in God's own image, what is not to love and be celebrated about that? So next time you are feeling like something is just too much to handle alone, use your faith in God, not another person.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
