Why You Should Stop Talking About Taylor Swift

Yes she dates, yes she writes songs, but she isn't the only artist to do so.

Taylor Swift, you may not like her or you may be dying to be a part of the #squad, but there is one thing that we should all understand - she's not the only artist to write about her love life or have a love life. For the past 10 years Taylor Swift has been playing in your radio from Tim McGraw to New Romantics, and we have watched her grow from a curly haired teen to a bobbin' adult. However there is always one thing media and people can't stop talking about: her love life and song topics. Listen there is no denying that she has dated guys, and probably a lot, but how many guys have you dated from 16-now? Got the number? Well Taylor has officially dated seven guys and that's in the past 10 years. Now is that any absurd number, no it isn't. It's a perfectly normal number and is no reason she should be slut shamed because she dates. Hell, no one should be slut shamed in society ever.

I read in a tabloid this past week about Taylor Swift and the claim that she got a boob job, well who cares if she did? It's her body and she did it for herself, and it isn't anything we should be gossiping about or saying that the boob job is more permanent than her relationships. BREAST IMPLANTS LAST ABOUT 10-15 YEARS FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD ON "BOTCHED" SO THEY AREN'T PERMANENT. The comment the writer made was really uncalled for and had no relevance. We did the same thing about Kylie Jenner and her lip injections, guess what she doesn't care what we think (actually she kind of cares but still) she did it for herself and now she's making bank selling lip kits.

Speaking of the Kardashians, let's talk about KimYe vs. Taylor. We all know how this feud started, we all know that it had seemed to be resolved, and then there's Kanye's latest song and video "Famous" and if you don't know the line about Taylor look it up, it's disgusting in my opinion. And saying that she knew about the lyric is kind of absurd, she may have known about part of it, I'm not really sure, but I doubt she'd approved the entire lyric. I also believe there's no way she would ever approve of the video, it's 10 and a half minutes long with about eight minutes of silence and the camera going up and down the naked bodies. I think KimYe should respect Taylor's wishes and just kindly leave her alone, she obviously isn't responding to that "Famous" video and girl has a lot of restraint, or just a #squad that holds her back.

"All Taylor Swift writes about is boys." Do you know that this is one of the most untrue and overused statements about her? Have you ever listened to an entire Taylor Swift album? There's five not including her Christmas album, and I could name 10 that are not about boys:

1. "Fifteen"

2. "Long Live"

3. "Best Day"

4. "Welcome to New York"

5. "Bad Blood"

6. "Shake It Off"

7. "22"

8. "Eyes Open & Safe and Sound"

9. "Mean"

10. "The Lucky One"

And there are more, and more artists who also "only write love songs." It's in quotes because it's based off the remarks made about Taylor.

1. ADELE: She writes a majority of her hits about love: "Hello," "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," "When We Were Young," "Chasing Pavement," "Set Fire To The Rain," "Make You Feel My Love," "Rolling in the Deep," and "Someone Like You" ARE ALL SONGS ABOUT LOVE and her last eight hits.

2. BRUNO MARS: This man sings about love, but do we comment about it? No. Just listen to his album Unorthodox Jukebox and find me at least three songs not about love, and yes sex is a subcategory of love.

3. BEYONCÉ : Yes Queen B writes and sings a lot of songs about love: "Drunk in Love," "Crazy in Love," "Countdown," "Halo," "If I Was a Boy," "Single Ladies," "Love on Top," "Sorry," "Irreplaceable," "XO," "Dance For You" and more. Yes she has a husband and yes there are many more topics Beyonce sings about, but you can't deny she doesn't sing about love.

4. ONE DIRECTION: Just look at a OneD album and 90% of it is about love or girls.

5. GEORGE STRAIT: First of all if you don't know who this is, I'm sorry, second King George probably has at least 40 out of his 51+ number one hits about love, they are all great but still same topic everyone says Taylor Swift only sings about.

There are many more artist and it shouldn't matter if she writes majority of her songs about boys and her love life, she is writing her own feelings, thoughts, and relationships and being real with her fans and that's what makes her a great artist. When Taylvin became to no longer exists, everyone was excited for a new album to drop because she had a recent breakup, and that's not okay. We shouldn't be excited she got her heartbroken so we have a new album full of great songs, we should just let her live and figure herself out.

Taylor has done a lot in the community, she has helped be a voice for songwriters and even got Apple to change their policies after one letter. She visits kids in hospitals, donated an entire Music Education exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame, invites 89 fans to her house to get a private preview of 1989 (WHICH NO FANS LEAKED), sends her fans gifts, btw I'm hoping to be one, and even wears gifts from fans.

I'm just waiting to be apart of the #squad, to be invited over for Taymerica, and her next album because has patterns show she releases one every two years and we are approaching on 1989's two-year anniversary.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
