When you're in a relationship, spending time together is great! But too much time together can cause tension...fast. Of course everyone loves being with their boyfriend/girlfriend, but if you do not spend time apart it can hurt your relationship in the long run.
1. Appreciation
When you spend 24/7 with someone, it is so easy to take them for granted. Giving each other time to go do things without you allows you both to value the time you do spend together more.
2. Stress
Being together all of the time causes people to get sick of each other. I know, no one thinks they will get sick of their best friend but let's face it, after a while, being alone is nice.
3. Spend time with other people
Everyone loves to spend time with their friends! Not every friend though enjoys being the third wheel, which unfortunately can happen when you and your significant other are attached at the hip. Having girl time or guy time gives you time to miss your significant other and allows you to spend quality time with the people who were there before you were in a relationship.
4. Enjoy things you like to do!
Personally, I love going into nature and taking pictures. My fiancé however, not so much. I stop too much to take a million photos. By being alone, I can do the things I enjoy doing and he can do his thing, which most of the time is Xbox. Nevertheless, we are a stronger couple because we do not always drag each other to things the other person is not fond of.
Everyone loves to see their best friend everyday! That doesn't mean you need to spend every waking minute together though, giving each other space allows you to be a stronger couple.
