Did I seriously just find a treasure chest filled with hidden gems? Unfortunately, no. Then again even if I did, would it not be wiser for me to keep it hush hush and on the low profile? But, who knows. Maybe there really are some cool gems hidden around the campus site.
Alright, you know the drill, "Let's split up, gang!" The popular catch phrase spoken by none other then Fredrick Herman Jones himself, or as most of us probably know him, Fred, the leader of the Scooby-Doo gang.
To clarify, I don't really think that Lake Fred of Stockton University was named after that Fred (as cool as it would be). But every time I walk past the lake, I can't help but get a sudden feeling of adrenaline to run off on my own mystery adventure with my own gang, uncovering different secrets about the area that we have yet to discover.
Hey, if a group of teenagers like the Mystery gang can do it, then I'm more than confident that we can do it, too. Except rather than uncovering mystery crimes, we can start our own adventure of uncovering the hidden beauties of everyday places that we frequently pass by without much thought.
Does that sound a tad corny? Perhaps. But I do believe that one of the perks of attending Stockton University is just simply having the privilege to take in the beauty of Lake Fred whenever I walk to class. It's a reminder that every day is a beautiful day, and to not ever let all the simple everyday things in life go unappreciated.
As college students, it's important to remember that you don't necessarily need to go on fancy, expensive trips to capture cool sites. Heck, there could be one located right in your campus' backyard!
