Almost everyone has heard of the show "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." If you haven’t watched it, then you know about it or have seen snapshots from the episodes used as memes or GIFs.

The general majority of those who have watched the show find it fairly hilarious. They enjoy watching the occasional rerun on Nick at Nite while getting work done late at night or watching a few episodes on Netflix when there are no shows that they have left to catch up on.

Of those who enjoy the show, there exists a small group who remain in love with it. I happen to belong to this minority. What this means for me is that I have to watch at least a little bit of "Friends" every day (usually with a meal), constantly use jokes that I’ve memorized (“How you doin’”), and forever keep Chandler and Monica as my relationship goals. Some people don’t understand this obsession, so let me explain to you exactly why I love "Friends."

1. It's hilarious.

This is, by far, the most obvious one to me. If you haven’t watched it yet, start now. This is one of the shows where there is always something funny in each and every episode. Even when there is something terrible going on for two of the characters, the rest of the characters remain engaging, delivering lines that I laugh at just as much as I did the first time when I watched the episode. (I’ve watched each episode multiple times.) Regardless of how upset I may be, watching the show is the one activity that always cracks a smile out of me.

2. It gets real.

Sure, there are some parts that don’t make any sense. For example, how can a waitress afford such a nice apartment in the heart of New York City? However, these are such small technicalities that I really don’t think they take away from the show as a whole because there are still realistic aspects to it. The show is about life and the ups and downs that accompany it, including losing jobs, breakups, marriages, messing up at tanning salons, trying to save money on sofa delivery to name a few.

3. Chandler and Monica are relationship goals.

Yes, there are multiple couples on the show who are very cute and adorable in their own way. However, I am not sure that there are any fellow show-watchers who would disagree with me when I say that Chandler and Monica’s relationship is an endearing one. From the very minute when they got together, you somehow knew that they would make it all of the way. They both have their flaws and positives, but they shared a common set of values that helped to make their relationship as a couple unbreakable. I am not often a fan of dramatizing love stories, but with Chandler and Monica, I can’t help but tear up at their touching moments.

4. "I'll be there for you."

I don’t think that a much better song could have been picked for the opening credits of the show. It is aptly accompanied by various scenes that show what "Friends" is primarily centered on, friendship (as the name surely suggests, I know). When there is a wedding, you can bet that all of the best friends are there and trying to make it the best time possible (even if they are on the phone). If someone loses a job, each friend forgets their own complaints and flocks to his or her side. Even competing and bickering is fun when you do it with people who you know will come back to you after all of the fights.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
