I hate the heat and humidity. This past week in Indianapolis has been a scorcher, at least in comparison to what I'm used to. I know my coworkers at my internship and I have been sweating out the stress. So I have decided to compile a list of not so basic drinks that will keep you cool for the summer.
1. Blended Strawberry Lemonade
This drink is like a strawberry lemonade slushie and will instantly cool you down during these hot summer months.
2. Passion Tea Lemonade
I'm a big fan of lemonade and adding it to the passion tea sweetens it up a bit while keeping the floral, fruity flavor (wow look at that alliteration) that is perfect for summer.
3. Raspberry Green Tea
Switch it up from the peach green tea or the peach green tea lemonade and add raspberry to your green tea instead. It's a nice change of flavors.
4. Peach Apple Lemonade
I read about this drink online and was so intrigued so I tried it and fell in love. You have lemonade to the first line of the cup, apple juice to the second line, add your peach flavoring and ice. Voila! A brand new drink.
5. Berry Hibiscus Passion Tea
Ask the barista to substitute berry hibiscus refresher for water to add a more fruity and sweet tea. And thanks to the refresher, it's very refreshing.
6. Make Any Drink a Slushie
Whatever your usual drink is, ask for it to be blended for more of a slushie, a much cooler drink during the summer.
7. Raspberry Carmel Macchiato
It transforms your usual drink into a summery one that is perfect for taking pictures of and sharing on Instagram.
Enjoy and have a great summer!
