Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a rabid coffee addict. Every other morning, you can spot me at the campus Starbucks ordering my staple: a grande skinny vanilla latte. Sometimes, I switch it up based on how it looks outside my window. Here are my seasonal Starbucks favorites:
1. Fall
When it comes to fall, I stick with the ever-classic Pumpkin Spice Latte. Although it can sometimes be the cause of the sugar rush you never wanted, this drink definitely sets the tone for the autumn season. It's practically crunchy leaves and crisp air in a cup.
2. Winter
Ah, the coldest time of the year. This is also the time of year when Starbucks looks like Christmas threw up on it (but really, who's complaining?). The best hot drink selection can definitely be found during this season, what with the endless options of themed mochas and lattes. My favorite, however, has to be the new Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. Smooth and perfectly sweet, the drink even has an added touch of candied cranberries topping the whipped cream to add that extra Christmas flair.
3. Spring
This is by far the strangest season of the year, especially in the South. The mornings start out at freezing temperatures and the afternoons become sweltering. Obviously, this begs the question: hot or cold? For this season, I go with the classic iced Vanilla Latte. Not too sweet, it serves as the perfect go-to drink for the oddest in-between season.
4. Summer
This season is when Starbucks thrives on their iced coffees and sugary Frappuccinos. However, in recent years a certain Pink Drink has taken all of Starbucks' summer fame, and rightfully so. It's safe to say that the Pink Drink is the only drink I've ever had that's tasted like a pink Starburst, and if that isn't a selling point, I don't know what is.
