The Stages Of Graduation

Wow, four years are done just like that. After you finished your last final or you submitted your final paper, you, like me, probably experienced a wide range of emotions. But now you're ready for graduation and everything leading up to it.

1. First you are ecstatic because, well, YOU FINISHED COLLEGE.

You're finally done with papers, homework, all-nighters and essentially everything that defined your life for four years.

2. Then you and your friends go celebrate the only way you know how....

By going out to a classy dinner with your friends and family. What did you think I meant?

3. You slightly panic because now you have to be a fully functioning adult and that's terrifying.

Still surprised that your required freshman year philosophy course didn't prepare you for this.

4. You then calm yourself down the only way you know how

Obviously another classy dinner. Goes without saying

5. Then you start thinking about student loans and that sorta freaks you out.

Only sorta freaks you out. You're totally calm about this. You're not trying to contain a panic attack at all.

6. You then say goodbye to some of your friends and are pretty sad because you don't know when you're going to see them next.

These are sad times.

7. And then you start thinking about the time you spent at college with your friends and simultaneously are completely ready to graduate but don't want to leave.

Spoiler alert: These were those days.

8. The big day comes and you have your cap and gown on and you are ready to walk.

9. You walk to get your degree and carefully take every step to avoid being that one person who falls.

Also you know if you do fall it will be on camera since literally every parent is recording it on their phones.

And just like that, you are college graduate. The four years that felt like they went by much too fast have finally led you to this moment. Now you have the real world to worry about, but if you could survive freshman philosophy, you can survive anything. So when thinking about your future, you only really have one thought. Bring it on!

Congratulations Class of 2016! Go and celebrate the only way you know how!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
