The Suite Life of Zack and Cody aired 12 years ago. 12 YEARS AGO. I bet you feel old now, because I sure do. As time goes on, college students can still relate to this show in many ways. Channeling our inner London when we feel broke or feeling like Muriel when we have absolutely no motivation to finish out spring semester. Here are 12 ways that college students can relate to this show on a whole new level.

1. Checking your bank account be like...

All of the random trips in the middle of the night to get food added up very fast.

2. The end of the year group projects with students in your class

There's always that one person that no one wants to get put with, but for some reason that one person always gets put in your group.

3. When your friends ask to hang out

If it involves pausing my Netflix show to go out, count me out. Also, joke- My motivation after spring break.

4. When someone says you look stressed

When you have 4 papers, 4 exams, and 2 presentations all due by Friday.

5. Getting emails about housing, scholarships, and job opportunities

Catching up on all of the assignments you procrastinated leaves little time for all of the other stuff that needs to get done.

6. When all of your finals are on the same day

Cramming isn't going to work when all of your finals are on the same day. More power to you if you would like to attempt it though.

7. When your professor calls on you in class

Completely coming up with an answer off the top of your head for discussion when you honestly have no clue what is happening.

8. Stress levels are Millicent working the candy counter

Papers, exams, and presentations all due by Friday...it's fine.

9. When you pass an exam you didn't study for

Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up watching shows on Netflix, but hey I still passed so hopefully it'll work again.

10. Forgetting you had a presentation until you get to class

Completely pulling that off the top of your head too.

11. When your best friend from high school stays for the weekend

You're weekend definitely got better with them being in town.

12. Walking / driving away from campus after your last final

You'll miss all of the friends and memories you've made on campus when you move back home for the summer.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
