Once you're in college, spring break takes a whole new meaning. Can you remember the days when spring break was just days spent on the beach or at an amusement park with your parents? Or maybe you spent spring break on the couch catching up on all the sleep you felt you were missing out on. No matter what you did, I guarantee you your K-12 grade spring break is nothing like your college spring breaks, and I'll tell you why.

College spring break embraces hookup culture like no other. I mean spring break in college is almost synonymous to hooking up. Girls and guys from universities all over the country take on Americas greatest beaches for spring break like Panama City Beach, South Beach Miami, Daytona, and even Venice Beach. The catch is that they don't go to relax and play in the sand, though, college spring breakers take on these beaches to play the ultimate game of get the girl or get the guy, aka how many numbers can I get in five days.

Spring breakers don't go to the beach to enjoy the ocean scenery; they go to enjoy the hottie scenery. I mean guys showing off their hot bodies that are glistening in the sun and girls showing off every curve and asset they can, what can be a better sight than that? Mix that with a large alcohol intake and you'll fall in love (at least, from what I've heard).

During spring break people go to the beach to scope out their next fling. Guys spend the day saying "Aye, pink bathing suit, come here, lemme put my number in your phone." While girls spend over an hour in the mirror doing their make up, picking out the hottest bikini they own to attract their prey and doing their hair just to spend the day sweating it out and entertaining cat calls.

Sounds fun or exhausting? Maybe a little of both.

But I'm sure you're still wondering how spring break embraces hookup culture, right? Well I'll be glad to answer that for you now.

Spring break Is like a field day for college students. We forget all of our cares and morals and let loose. It's like the one time of year where it's socially acceptable to act crazy and leave your conscious on campus to retrieve when you return home. Think about it. During spring break you're meeting people from all over the country, all different schools, people who you most likely will never see again.

You're getting and taking numbers down left and right but not saving them for that very reason of never seeing those people again. So in the college spring breaker's mind, what happened on spring break, stays there. That simply is why hooking up on spring break has basically become a norm amongst college aged students. It doesn't travel back home with you, it stays right at the beach unlike the sand in your bikini bottoms.

Just like what "Jersey Shore" taught us, "You don't fall in love at the Jersey Shore," and you definitely don't fall in love on spring break, but some sure as hell get close to it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
