We all look forward to any kind of break when school is in session but there's one break we all look forward to..

SPRING BREAK.

Where young adults head down south to enjoy warm weather, good company, and a care free time. Now, we here a lot about the wild parties, the sleepless nights, the nights that are hard to remember the next day but we don't really hear about the struggle we go through when it's all said and done. Let me just tell you, it is not fun. This week has been a constant battle and I know I am not alone. If you are a person who has taking a trip during spring break, just got back, you understand all the random sorts of feelings we go through the week after. If you are about to go, well... prepare yourself for the aftermath.

Let's start out with the one that has the biggest effect of them all: energy.

Your level of energy is at an all time low.

Thanks to spring fever we left,"Home" with energy so high we couldn't bare to hide our excitement to escape the hell hole we call school. The minute you get back, your body goes into a coma. You are more tired than you've ever been that even the plane or car ride home leads to you falling into a deep sleep.

Your bed is the your best friend.

The minute you get home from traveling all you want to do is crawl into bed. Let me tell you, this will be the comfiest your bed has ever been. It's like you're laying on a pillow made of clouds. Settle in, enjoy the great feeling and fall into the deepest most refreshing sleep you'll have. You might wake up questioning what day and time it is but your body needs to replenish.

The shower is rejuvenating.

In hopes that you did shower during spring break, the first shower you take when you're at home is amazing. Take your time, let the water just run on you. You're home, you're getting clean, and washing away all the sweat and dirt you accumulated from dancing in the jam packed clubs for the past week.

Waking up early is dreadful at best.

Whether you have to get up and to work or you're getting up to go sit in class all day; the first day back is always the worst. You'll find yourself questioning why you didn't stay in paradise city when you're walking into the building with your winter coat on. Don't even get me started on the pile of work you'll have to do this week.

This may not be as exciting as the week before when you were sippin' on something strong while enjoying the warmth of the sun. I can promise you, the feeling of always being exhausted and never being able to catch up will fade away. This SUCKS... but you're not alone. We are all riding the struggle bus this week.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
