Music is one of my favorite things in the world. One of the best things about music is that there are so many different types and something for any mood. There's rarely a time I'm not listening to something. Whether walking to class, getting ready to go out or studying, I have music to keep my ears company.

As such a big music fan, I naturally think Spotify is a godsend. Having so much music in one convenient spot makes my jam sessions so much easier. Though I like having the ability to make my own playlists and do so, I also enjoy Spotify doing all the work for me and assembling all different kinds of playlists. If you don't look through the Browse section too often, I've rounded up some playlists for you to check out.

Trendy Music

I must admit some of the names of Spotify's playlists are a bit questionable and lame, but trust me the music is good! I just recently discovered this Trendy Music playlist, and I am OBSESSED. I listen to it when I'm doing homework and need some energy to get it all done, or if I'm just hanging out. It's a fun assortment of songs from better known artists like Rita Ora, Fetty Wap and 5 Seconds of Summer to up-and-coming musicians like Halsey, Troye Sivan and Hailee Steinfeld. It's also a great playlist to discover your next favorite singer (Hi Halsey, I love you).

#SundayFunday

Again, a playlist with a lame name. But the cool jams in #SundayFunday more than make up for it. It's a perfect soundtrack for Sunday brunch, recovery, homework cram session or whatever else you do on Sunday. I even listen to this playlist when it isn't Sunday because it's so good. It's packed with all your favorites from Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Tove Lo and Walk The Moon, as well as artists you probably haven't heard of. It's such a mood booster I dare you to not want to dance while listening to this set.

COFFEHOUSE BLEND

Coffeehouse Blend has to be towards the top of my favorite playlists on Spotify. It's the essential collection of tunes when you need a mellow study session. It's my go-to choice for when I really need to concentrate or want to relax. It has John Mayer's version of "XO," so need I say more? Bonus points if you actually listen to it in a coffee shop.

Songs for Sunsets

Another chill playlist, Songs for Sunsets this is perfect for the evenings. Whether you're folding laundry, cleaning your room or going for an evening drive, let the sweet voices of Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver and Jack Johnson croon to you.

THIS IS Dance Floor

If you're like me, you like listening to fast, upbeat music when you're working out. If that's true, you might want to check out THIS IS Dance Floor. It has remixes for Imagine Dragons and Tove Lo, as well as popular EDM DJs like Disclosure, Alesso and Tiësto. It'll keep you energized and pumped throughout your workout!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
