Spotify has been really taking over lately. If you haven't invested in Premium, I highly suggest it. So long iTunes! I'm sick and tired of my music taking up all the storage on my phone! Spotify is my new savior.

If you're old to this trend, then you should know there are 6 basic playlists everyone needs.

1. Workout

Everyone should have a "pump up" playlist! Tunes to get you moving and grooving and working hard on those abs!

Here's my suggestions to get you started:

- "Barracuda" by Heart

- "IV. Sweatpants" by Childish Gambino

- "Pass That Dutch" by Missy Elliot

-"Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani

- "Express Yourself" by Diplo

2. Jamming Out

Yanno? Those songs you listen to on full blast with your hair down, windows open, cruising down the highway. Everyone needs a playlist specifically for these, its never the wrong time to burst out into a great song!

Here's my suggestions:

- "The Power of Love" by Celine Dion

- "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson

- "Dancing Queen" by ABBA (anything by ABBA for that matter)

- "The Morning" by The Weeknd

- "Reflections" by MisterWives

3. Heartbreak

You're sad, distraught, broken. Someone dumped you, a friend moved away, you have to get rid of your cat, pet goldfish died or you failed that important test. Everyone deserves a proper mourning period. Music helps let out those emotions.

Here's my suggestions:

-"Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls

-"Chasing Pavements" by Adele

-"Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac (NOT the Dixie Chicks)

-"If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé

-"The Morning Song" by The Lumineers

4. Feelin' Ghetto

You're with your friends and your'e getting that feeling where you're pumped up, ready to get down to some hood rap and sick beats. If you've never felt the need to get nasty on the dance floor, you're lying. This playlist is perfect for pre-gaming.

Here's my suggestions:

-"Right Thur" by Chingy

-"Work It" by Missy Elliot

-"Yeah" by Usher and Lil' Jon

-"Caribou Lou" by Tech N9ne

-"Ms New Booty" by The Ying Yang Twins

-"London Bridge" by Fergie**

** personal favorite

5. Throw Backs

Trying to really throw it back or impress an elder that you know other music besides rap and EDM? Then you need a playlist that will take you back to those days where you didn't exist yet. Anything from Lynyrd Skynyrd to The Spice Girls and everything in between.

Here's my suggestions:

-"You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth" by Meatloaf

-"Once In A Lifetime" by Talking Heads

-"Fight For Your Right" by The Beastie Boys

-"Whip It" by DEVO

-"Super Trouper" by ABBA (once again anything by ABBA)

6. Randoms

Those songs that just don't have a place but, you want to group them into a playlist just to have!

Here's 10 of my Random Songs:

-"Forever" by HAIM

-"Grease" by Frankie Valli

-"Jack and Diane" by John Mellencamp

-"Oxford Comma" by Vampire Weekend

-"Dreamgirl" by Dave Mathews Band

-"400 Lux" by Lorde

-"Clouds" by One Direction

-"Dearest" by Buddy Holiday

-"No Scrubs" by TLC

-"Fast Car" by Tracey Chapman

In Conclusion, DOWN WITH APPLE, Viva La Spotify!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
