10 Songs I Can't Stop Playing On Repeat

The other day, I listened to these 10 songs on repeat for 12 hours. I still didn't get tired of them. That being said, I feel obligated to share...

1. TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME

The 1975 has done it again with this bop. It was released in August and precedes Music For Cars, the new The 1975 album that is to be released in November. It is also speculated to be a subliminal message about the "Me Too" movement, as seen in the title of the song. Regardless, I'm obsessed. Check out the music video.

2. Feels Like Summer

This is a new song from Childish Gambino's Summer Pack, which is also rumored to be preceding a new album. I saw Gambino a few weeks ago and his performance of this song was absolutely flawless. Check out the music video.

3. SUMMER

This Brockhampton song comes off of Saturation II, which is my current obsession. The album was released in 2017 and includes quite a few of my favorite songs. Check out Bearface rocking out at Coachella.

4. BLEACH

Another Brockhampton favorite of mine, this song comes off of Saturation III (also released in 2017). It has more vocal variation than SUMMER, and it's incredible. Check out the boys performing it at Boston Calling.

5. Sunflower

This gem by Rex Orange County is a timeless favorite. Plus, Alexander O'Connor is gorgeous. Please bless your eyes and ears.

6. Dark Knight Dummo

Switching the vibe a little...this single by Trippie Redd and Travis Scott is my favorite thing ever. My roommate and I listened to it on repeat for an hour the other day. I saw Trippie Redd at Music Midtown last year and he was a great performer. Here's proof.

7. my boy

Billie. Eilish. That is all. I saw Billie at Music Midtown last weekend and this performance was everything to me. Hands down her best song. She's another fantastic performer.

8. COPYCAT

A close second in the running for my favorite Billie song, COPYCAT is crazy good. Super different vibe from my boy, but still amazing.

9. Provider

Because what playlist is complete without a Frank Ocean song?

10. Sweet Dreams

I woke up this morning with this BØRNS song stuck in my head and it's so good that it made me buy a ticket to go see him in Charlotte tomorrow. Oops. But, watch this and you'll want to do the same.

Happy listening!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
