Spotify did the unthinkable when it announced the biggest game changer of 2017 last week. From their student discount to their classic 3-month premium trial for only one dollar, they have been trying to rope their audience in to paying for their service for years and now they have finally figured out how.

Spotify is now partnering with the popular streaming service Hulu to provide college students with the ultimate life hack. For the small price of $5 a month, you can get access to Spotify premium and Hulu's Limited Commercial plan. That's right, both subscriptions for less than a bottle of Burnett's.

I have purchased this bundle a little under five hours ago and it is easily already the greatest decision I have ever made. If you aren't already intrigued, here's a few reasons you should be.

1. Binge watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians

My number one struggle with Netflix was the fact that my ultimate guilty pleasure was only available with DVD rentals. With Hulu, you have access to 195 episodes at the tips of your fingers. Pour yourself a glass of wine and watch preteen Kendall and Kylie at their prime.

2. Binge watch some classic Nickelodeon

Not much of a Kardashian fan and need a dose of nostalgia in your life? Look no further, Hulu offers an array of Nick shows like Rugrats, Hey Arnold and Drake & Josh. All we need is some Zoey 101 and our lives would solely be complete. Hulu also offers hundreds of other shows, some that Netflix doesn't have the rights to.

3. Skip through the entire Taylor Swift catalog

Skip over her entirely, or if you're a fan skip towards your favorite song without fear that you'll run out. With Spotify premium you can skip through songs as you please instead of held back with the six skip limit. November 10th is the Reputation drop date so with premium, do with it what you will.

4. Construct the best road trip playlist of all time

Have Spotify's entire song library at your disposal to create hour long playlists for any occasion, most likely for the long car rides back home for break or away sports games. You had that before, but now enjoy it AD FREE. Sorry Spotify guy with the super smooth voice asking if I want to watch a 30 second video, I've upgraded and won't be needing you anymore.

5. Treat Yo Self

College is hard, sometimes you just need a night where you do nothing but lay in bed with a face mask and watch hours of mindless TV or hours of a 90's throwback playlist. For just one less Starbucks drink a month, all this could be yours. Enjoy it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
