Growing up, I religiously watched the children's Nickelodeon show, Spongebob Squarepants. As of now, I still watch it with my family and literally laugh at the stupidity and hilariousness of it. I adore the older episodes and truly see where my sense of humor has grown from. It's kind of crazy how such a ridiculously stupid, yet hilarious show, has made such an impact on my and others sense of adulthood. Since most of us now young adults have watched the questionable kids shows, I feel it's made huge impacts on us as adulting individuals. Here's 15 points within the kid's television show that depict an accurate picture of young adults in college.

1) All of us are slowly becoming Squidwards, if we haven't already.

We love the comfort of home and are pretty pessimistic.

We would rather stay at home and be in comfort, than go outside and meet new people.

And, of course, the future is a terrifying and anxiety ridden concept that we like to avoid thinking about.

2) We have the appetite of Patrick.

Our episodes of binge eating are far too real to even rationalize.

Who doesn't love pizza, cereal, and then ice cream, all in one sitting?

3) We may have taken Spongebob's life lessons a little too seriously.

We've accepted the reality of our appearances.

We think about our identities and question our existence too much.

Maybe we all need our identities stolen so we can figure ourselves out...

4) Spongebob's experience with boating school is our depiction of college struggles.

When you're in the midst of studying, you DUMP EVERYTHING so you can retain.

That fear when we receive the exam and our mind goes blank. (I swear I studied.)

When you're writing a paper last minute.

That moment when your hand cramps during the essay portion of the exam.

You've lost all hope.

5) Our maturity levels coincide with the show too much..

Because what's funnier than 24? 25...

6) Our negativity is too similar to Spongebob's sense of failure.

"That statistics exam. SOILED IT."

*College tears*

7) We're all money hungry like Mr. Krabs.

8) Yet, we all ended up here.

Broke.

9) We all have entirely too much to do and not enough time to sleep.

We could literally sleep forever.

Once you're sound asleep, you realize you forgot to do that paper.

2 1/2 hours later...

Oh... and you are scheduled to work later.

10) The Narrator Time Cards are our life in reference to time.

*DEGREES FOR EVERYONE*

And the professor is still talking...

12) Clearly, we use their dance moves in the clubs and parties.

13) That episode where Spongebob basically had anxiety

14) Trying out new beauty trends and hacks

What were we thinking??

15) The many years of college

Freshmen

You're all ready and excited for college.

Sophomore

Sophomore year is basically nothing. What even goes on...

Junior

The struggle is too real...

Senior

WE FINALLY GOT AN AWARD!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
