The Last Jedi was a Star Wars film greatly anticipated by millions of fans all over the world, willing to buy their tickets in advance months ahead of the game. This review is to those who are still waiting patiently to experience the new film.

Many questions were kept in the back of the minds of fans after The Force Awakens, some being as follows: Who are Rey’s parents? Who exactly is Snoke? Will Rey become a Jedi? What exactly happened between Ben Solo and Luke Skywalker? Is the iconic Jedi Luke Skywalker truly the last? The questions go on and on, and it is important to state that no, not all of these were answered in the new film.

Though many people have slammed the film, calling it a disappointment, and a cheesy continuation of the prequel style Star Wars films, I have to greatly disagree with their complete hatred of the movie, and instead, I must praise the great aspects of it.

For one, the A-line and the main story were one of strong intensity and tension that gripped the audience and kept them hoping for change and development for our main characters. The two subplots of the story followed our other minor characters, one being the backbone of the resistance’s current situation, and the other mostly for comic relief.

It is quite easy to say that the two B lines of the story could have definitely been a little stronger and were definitely a little cheesy, but overall, the main storyline following Rey was absolutely iconic.

The story introduces a new character, Rose Tico, a maintenance worker of the resistance. Rose undoubtedly serves as a completely new and fresh character to the Star Wars franchise, surely providing a smart and courageous inspiration for children everywhere. Overall, Rose served the story well and created wonderful friendships with some of the main gang.

That being said, there was a slight downside to character development. Now, no spoilers included, Luke Skywalker isn’t what fans have expected. His actions, as well as his past, prove to be a huge shock to most. However, plot aside, Luke Skywalker was very much presented as a pretentious, and in-the-times Jedi master, who took every opportunity in the movie for comedia. Just as Mark Hamill himself expressed his disappointment in The Last Jedi itself, this must have been one of his leading reasons.

Overall, The Last Jedi, though three hours long, catches your attention throughout it all. It even contains one particular scene with a twist so strong, it has surely made the list of best Star Wars moments written of all time.

That being said, it’s impossible to talk too long about The Last Jedi without being tempted to reveal anything iconic, so grab your wallets, and head out to the theatres to see this blockbuster as fast as possible! You know, before the spoilers hit the walls..

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
