Charlie,
You have grown into the most handsome little man! I cannot believe you are almost sixteen years old. Boy, has time flown by. I swear you were just a little nugget running around outside with friends in the neighborhood and playing with your action figures.
Now, you have developed into a mature individual with such a kind heart.
I see this kindness in your actions and your words and I couldn’t be more proud of you. I am proud of how hard you work in your sports. I am proud of how responsible you have become. I am proud of your efforts in school.
Most of all, I am SO proud of how strong you are. In your fifteen years, you’ve gone through your fair share of hard times, but you have handled it well. Don’t forget that no matter what, I am always here for you.
When I saw the pictures of you dressed up for your first ever homecoming, tears came to my eyes. I remember being in your shoes and it feels like yesterday. I want to remind you to make the most out of the rest of your high school career. I think I took high school for granted, which is something I regret. You will never get these years of your life back, so do all that you want to.
Keep working hard, getting good grades, and creating memories with your best friends. You will miss these friends when you go to college, but the memories that you make will last a lifetime.
I know we weren’t very close when we were little due to the constant bickering and teasing (sorry mom and dad), but I have, and will, always love you more than words can express. I am so glad that over the past few years we have become closer because as we’ve aged, we are able to understand each other a little better.
Brady,
How are you already nine years old? I remember being your age right now and being so excited to have another little baby brother. I would look at mom’s tummy and beg for you to come sooner. I remember playing baby in your room, preparing for your arrival.
Being five hours away from you is hard and I wish so much that I was closer; I feel like I am missing out on a part of you growing up. But, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. When we do get to spend time together, my heart is so full. I have bragged about you often, telling my friends about the cute little brother I have. I say all of this with the biggest smile on my face.
Having little brothers is so special. Being a big sister has allowed me to be a role model to two amazing boys. Not only that, but God blessed me with two best friends. Charlie and Brady, I love you more than the world.
Love forever and always,
Your big sister
