With Halloween creeping up at a frightening pace, it's time to start thinking about some costume ideas!
In this How To, I'm going to show you how to make bruises with the contents of your purse!
First thing's first: gather your materials!
You will need:
Liquid Foundation, one shade darker than skin tone
Brow Brush
Eye Shadow Brush (Not Sponge!)
Red Lipstick
Purple Eye Shadow
Dark Brown or Gray Eye Shadow

In this How To, I used:
✒︎Covergirl Clean® Soft Honey Oil Control Foundation (Walmart $5.35)
✒︎Essential Tools® Studio Makeup Brush Set, 11 pc (Walmart $9.48)
✒︎NYC® HD Color Late Night Latte Trio Eyeshadow (Walmart $2.49)
✒︎Wet N Wild® Cherry Frost Lipstick (Walmart $2.87)
✒︎Wet N Wild® The Naked Truth Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette (Walmart $6.53)
And so, we begin! I will be doing the bruise on my hand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step One
Apply foundation to your skin that is one shade darker than your skin tone. I used Covergirl Clean® Soft Honey Oil Control Foundation, which I found conveniently at Walmart for $5.35. Spread it evenly on the area of skin that you are covering with the bruise! (It may be hard to see in this photo, but there is foundation on my hand!)
Step Two
Coat the tips of a brow brush in the red lipstick. Dab the red lipstick all over the area where you want to see bruising. Get a good amount of color, but not too much. (Don't paint it on!)
Step Three
Step Four (The Final Step)
Coat the eye shadow brush, this time, in your dark brown or gray eye shadow. Lightly dab the dark eye shadow all over the area of the bruise, until you have an even covering of the "affected area". Then, blend out the edges using the eye shadow brush, to make it seem like it is a part of the skin (and not just sitting on top!).
Voila!
Have fun freaking people out with your new "injury"!
