1. Charleston, SC
This city is downright beautiful! Whether you go for a day or if you're close enough for a week; it has so much to offer. King Street is filled with shops, boutiques, and all the food your heart desires. In the summer, there is always something going on, so make sure to check the official website for events throughout the year!
2. Atlanta, GA

3. Asheville, NC

How can anyone pass up that view? Asheville is home to many hiking routes and the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway! Not only can you climb a mountain, but you can go shopping the same day. If that doesn't peak your interest, maybe the bus cafe will? Yes, Double D's Coffee & Desserts is a cafe on a double decker bus. Are you excited to go to Asheville now?
4. Savannah, GA
With a picture like that do you need any other justification to go to Savannah? (No? Okay)
5. Columbia, SC
If you have not visited the capital yet, shame on you! It is the largest city in South Carolina (and home of some great food). You can not do Columbia in one day, not even a weekend, but if you're gonna try you can't miss Main Street. You might find your favorite new shop! There's even more shopping opportunities on the outskirts of the city (Columbiana Centre is the go-to!). If you're not into the shopping scene, you can go to Congaree National Park and it you're not that adventurous: Riverbanks Zoo & Garden is a splendid substitution. If you have kids, or if you're a kid at heart, EdVenture is a children's museum located in the heart of the city (HiWire Trampoline Park is also fantastic). You're gonna love Columbia!
The places mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg of what the South has to offer. There are tons of places for your to explore. The best advice I can give is to just get in the car and drive (make sure you have gas)! You never know where these roads can take you.
