The 10 real things that happen during sorority recruitment, as told by Parks and Recreation.
1. You'll be doing rounds for hours.
On your feet, cheering, screaming, chatting. Probably in heels. And the house will get really hot with so many girls talking and moving.
2. You'll talk to a girl who you can immediately see as your little, and you'll see yourself making crafts for her and taking line pictures together.
3. And then you'll talk to some girls that make five minutes seem like 20 years.
4. You'll have early days and late nights and will do pretty much anything to stay awake.
5.You'll be in selection for hours on end, and after the first few rounds, it will seem like you won't make it out of selection before graduation.
6. But somehow you'll find yourself listening to every comment about every girl, because you want everyone to end up in the right place (like you did).
7. You'll keep some girls you really liked throughout the rounds, and you'll hope each round that they stay through to the end.
8. And you'll lose some great girls to other sororities.
9. When it's all over, you'll feel like you've found the perfect group of girls, and that all your outfit swaps, late nights and junk food binges were worth it.
10. Most importantly, though, in spending so much time with your sisters, you'll really understand why you chose your sorority, and you'll become closer with so many girls you didn't know well beforehand.
In the words of Tom Haverford, "Sometimes you gotta work a little, so you can ball a lot."
