Everyone's favorite and best playlist is definitely their Christmas playlist and it's finally time to play those holiday tunes. Here are 23 of my favorite Christmas songs that are certainly on my playlist:
1. "This Christmas" Chris Brown
This song is my absolute favorite Christmas song. It comes from the soundtrack of the movie "This Christmas" and Chris Brown's voice does this song a great justice. It starts off acapella with only his voice. Then an organ starts playing in the background with a little instrumental also chiming in, and finally, the drums come in. "This Christmas" is the best song for decorating the tree or simply to dance to for fun.
2. "One More Sleep" Leona Lewis
Everybody knows Leona Lewis from her number one song "Bleeding Love" but this song, off of her Christmas album from three years ago, is so good. It's an upbeat Christmas song about counting down the nights you have until your boyfriend/girlfriend comes home on Christmas Day.
3. "O Holy Night" "Glee" Cast
Lea Michelle sings this song on Glee as her character Rachel and it is absolutely beautiful. If you've never heard Lea Michelle sing, she is a beautiful singer; her vocals will literally make you feel some emotion. This song is a slower song with beautiful piano playing throughout the whole song. In "O Holy Night", you hear delightful backup singers that make the song 100 times better. Because this song is so beautiful, I even listen to it in the summer. It is a must hear!!
4. "Joy to the World" "The Mistle-tones"
The "Mistle-tones" is an original television movie from Freeform. Tia Mowry stars in this film and does the background vocals for this song and it is so good. I listen to this song even when it's not Christmas time because it makes me want to dance and sing along all the time.
5. "Please Come Home for Christmas" "The Mistle-tones"
What can I say, I love me some Mistle-tones!
6. "All I Want for Christmas Is You" Fifth Harmony
Usually when somebody says "All I Want for Christmas Is You" people think Mariah Carey but that’s so cliche, and I'm not a cliche person. Fifth Harmony's version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" is as good as Mariah Carey's. The harmony for this song is amazing, but that's obvious since they have the name harmony in their band name. The song starts off with a ballad-like style, then gets more upbeat within the first minute of the song. The vocals of this song are even better than their harmony.
7. "Deck The Halls" Debby Ryan
I love Disney stars music, this version of "Deck The Halls" is not going to sound like your original song of "Deck The Halls". It starts off with the jingle bells and then a guitar comes in making you want to bob your head to it, which you definitely do.
8. "12 Days of Christmas" Relient K
This is a punk/rock upbeat song that makes you want to dance and sing along. Relient K even puts in their own verse that will make you laugh because it's so relatable. The best part of this song is that every time they go through what they got on the 12 days of Christmas they sing it differently or have a different beat, they even have a choir in their song. This song is just so fun to listen too; this is another must hear!
9. "Santa Tell Me" Ariana Grande
YOU CAN'T DO CHRISTMAS WITHOUT ARIANA GRANDE!
10. "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" The Chipmunks
This is another fun song to sing along to in your Christmas onesies on Christmas Day.
11. "Winter Wonderland" Never Shout Never
This is an acoustic song. so it’s slower. But it has great vocals that have an instrumental in the middle of the song which makes you want to sway back and forth while you're sitting next to a fire.
12. "Silent Night" Pentatonix
"Silent Night" is one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs and Pentatonix did a very good job with this song. They sang this song like they were singing a lullaby to a little child. The vocals and harmony of this song are perfect. This is a song you put on repeat for about an hour.
13. "Last Christmas" Wham!
This song is essential to a Christmas playlist so I had to put it on here.
14. "Mistletoe" Justin Bieber
Do I really need to say anything about this song? Everybody has heard it and if you haven’t then you need too right now!
15. "Sleigh Ride" Relient K
This is another song by Relient K and it starts off slow with a piano, but starts to gain pace that makes you want to bounce up and down.
16. "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" Brenda Lee
This is the song you want to sing and dance along to on Christmas Day around the Christmas tree.
17. "Baby It's Cold Outside" "Glee" Cast
This is another song from "Glee" sung by the characters Blaine and Kurt. It is slow with beautiful vocals by both of the characters.
18. "She Can Have You" Tamar Braxton
This song isn't as positive as the others on my list but Tamar Braxton sang this song so good that, it doesn't matter. This song is about being alone on Christmas because your boyfriend/girlfriend broke up with you. While this is a sad song, it's also realistic because that can happen.
19. "Love Is Everything" Ariana Grande
Many people have not heard this song but I love it, Ariana Grande's vocals are perfect. It's also an upbeat song that you can dance and sing too.
20. "Jingle Bell Rock" Bobby Helms
Why not have this song on your playlist? You can dance to it like you are a part of "Mean Girls".
21. "Holly Jolly Christmas" Michael Bublè
What's a Christmas playlist without Michael Bublè?
22. "I'll Be Who You Love (This Christmas)" Trevor Jackson
If you have never listened to Trevor Jackson, you really should. His vocals are great; he makes you wish that he was all yours.
23. "Fool's Holiday" All Time Low
This is a punk/rock upbeat song about making mistakes and wanting to make up for them on Christmas, even though he thinks it's a Fool's Holiday.
These 23 songs will get you in your Christmas spirit and will have you dancing all winter break.
