Midterms are a pain. Not only because tests are naturally stressful, but the middle of the semester also happens to be the time when all those things you’ve postponed on have finally caught up with you. All of a sudden, all those papers and assignments you have put off eventually come knocking at your door, demanding to be done. But, before you freak out and lose your head completely, take a moment and realize that there is something you can do you calm yourself and manage that pile of work. We all use music as an escape sometimes. Why not channel that song skipping into a productive use of time? Here is a list of songs and hidden advice that will help get you through that load of homework.

1. "Take a Walk" by Passion Pit

Listen to Passion Pit and "Take a Walk". People tend to loose perspective under stress. A little bit of fresh air and exercise will help to realize that.

2. "One Call Away" by Charlie Puth

Like "One Call Away" suggests, sometimes a friend or significant other can help to clear your mind and help you to realize your priorities.

3. "Roses" by The Chainsmokers

“Roses” by the Chainsmokers speaks words of wisdom with their lyrics ‘take it slow'. To accomplish anything, you have to start gradually.

4. "Take it Back" by Ed Sheeran

"Take it Back” by Ed Sheeran, although maybe a little bit more obscure, has the potential to motivate anyone. ‘Don’t you fade into the back’ gives a constant reminder to stay on top of our game and keep up with everyday responsibilities.

5. "Stronger" by Kanye West

Finally, “Stronger,” by Kanye West reminds us of that looming deadline. ‘I need you to hurry up now cause I can’t wait much longer.’ Perhaps after talking a walk and calling your friends it might be time to finally get down to business.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
