Something to Learn From Each of ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas Movies

On the first day of Christmas, "Elf" teaches us to smile a little more.

On the second day of Christmas, "The Santa Clause" teaches us to never give up.

On the third day of Christmas, "The Polar Express" teaches us to believe in ourselves (even during finals).

On the fourth day of Christmas, "Disney's A Christmas Carol" teaches us that mean people are irrelevant and we can't let them get to us

On the fifth day of Christmas, "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" teaches us that we're not the only ones that have a mirror fashion show when we like our outfit.

On the sixth day of Christmas, "Arthur Christmas" teaches us to put it the little amount of extra effort to make things perfect.

On the seventh day of Christmas, "The Toy Story That Time Forgot" teaches us that they probably should have stopped at Toy Story 3.

On the eighth day of Christmas, "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" teaches us that if you don't like the direction your life is headed, it's up to you to turn it around.

On the ninth day of Christmas, "Mickey's A Christmas Carol" teaches us that there is nothing like family.

On the tenth day of Christmas, "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" teaches us that just when finals got you wanting to drop out of college, you can't abandon your fellow tar heels.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, "Scrooged" teaches us that if you're acting like a Bah Humbug, you deserve to be told (...or shown).

On the twelfth day of Christmas, "Miracle on 34th Street" teaches us that Mama knows best and to have faith "even when common sense tells you not to."

On the thirteenth day of Christmas, "Fred Claus" teaches us that even the happiest of people (elves) can have a bad day.

On the fourteenth day of Christmas, when "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" comes on again, it teaches us to get out and be a little social, even during finals.

On the fifteenth day of Christmas, "The Year Without Christmas" teaches us not to be such a "hot head" and lighten up, especially around the holidays.

On the sixteenth day of Christmas, "Home Alone" reminds us that there's nothing like the feeling of being home alone.

and there is nothing like a white christmas (and why you should move  up north).

On the seventeenth day of Christmas, "Home Alone 2" reminds us that real food awaiting us at home is one of the best parts of Christmas break.

On the eighteenth day of Christmas, "Elf" comes on again (YES!)  and reminds us that we should act like kids again.

On the nineteenth day of Christmas, "Santa Buddies" teaches us that puppies are way better than humans.

and on the twentieth day of Christmas, "The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation" teaches us that puppies are also so much cuter than humans.

On the twenty-first day of Christmas, "The Little Drummer Boy" teaches us to how much joy can come from little things, like dancing.

On the twenty-second day of christmas "A Christmas Story" teaches us how to pronounce "fragile."

On the twenty-third day of Christmas, "A Christmas Story" teaches us not to stick our tongue to a frozen metal pole. (Even though it doesn't teach us a whole lot, its still a great movie.)

On the twenty-fourth day of Christmas, "It's a Wonderful Life" teaches us that real love does exist.

And on the twenty-fifth day of Christmas, we realize how great of a holiday it truly is. Merry Christmas everyone!

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
