Social Media Is Being So Annoying

Kind of sick and tired of all the repetitive posts I've been seeing lately

Social Media Is Being So Annoying
Brian Wu

Okay, so this title is kind of misleading. When I say "social media is being annoying" I really mean people on social media are being annoying. So the dude got elected into office. We can't do anything about it now, except assassinate him, which I'm not condoning. I know alot of people are feeling very strongly about this whole mess. People are angry, I know I am. People are disappointed, me. People feel sad, just a little. People are scared. I'm actually not feeling that one so much. Bottom-line, there are alot of people being affected by this election and they have the right to. For God effing sakes, we put Trump on the high chair. Mistakes were made. I go onto Facebook and there's still alot of Trump talk. That's not what bugs me. What really grinds my gears are the people who people making posts that start with "I don't normally post my political beliefs" or "I'm not the type of person to make my political thoughts public" or "I usual try to keep my political ideas and social media separate". These are posts from people who almost never post anything about politics. So they weren't lying; they really don't like to talk about politics on social media. The problem is that because so many other people already posting similar things, I feel like everyone is just on that bandwagon. "Oh let me just make (probably the second or third post about politics ever since having a Facebook) a post about Trump, just get my thoughts out there. That way everyone can understand how I'm feeling". Bish, there are actual people who are fearing for their lives because this mofo is going to be in office. Don't just post stuff too feel like you're part of that crowd. If your friends know well enough, they should already know how you feel about this whole ordeal. Now I know there are the genuine people out there who are truly affected by this and need to vent or simply express their thoughts on social media. I respect you all and welcome your thoughts. It's the fakers out there who pump some cookie-cutter, essay long spiel about "election stuff". You're not really expressing yourself. You're just conforming. So to all you fakers, conformers, posers, etc. out there, I hate you. To all the real people who are affected by America's mistake and are struggling, you just got to keep on keeping on. I hope you can get through, move past this, and continue your lives just they way you want to.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
