Midterms are upon us, friends! Here are five things that may be happening to you and rest assured that you are not alone! Good luck!
1. Getting dressed is a task
Do I dress up so I don't look as scared as I feel? Or do I be authentic and wear sweats? No, this is a trying time in life. Sweats it is!!
2. It seems like everything you have learned so far disappears whenever you read the first question.
It's almost magical how fast that can happen.
3. Small definitions? Big problem.
Just put whatever sounds good. You might just be in the ballpark.
4. You think of as many big, elaborate words as you can and write them down.
Even if they don't make any sense.
5. Sleep is optional the night before the exams.
That's time you could be using to study....or cry. Or plan what you're going to do when you drop out.
6. Food
Why worry about cooking? You already have enough to worry about with midterms!
7. Your social life is nonexistent
Who needs friends when you are drowning in notes and tears?
8. You consider what you might do to get out of the exam.
Fainting and throwing up are two good fallback options.
9. You wonder if the teachers made a plan to fail you.
It's like they all met together with your name in mind and made a plan of attack. Thanks, professors.
10. You go in thinking you'll nail the exam and then...
Maybe next Maybe next time, champ.
11. When you realize you don't have anything to use to study for the exam with.
Did I ever take notes? They would so come in handy right now.
Whatever the case is for you, remember, midterms are only for a little bit and won't last forever. Make sure to get plenty of rest and eat well and study, study, study!
