For a couple of years now Snapchat has been a favorite in the social media world and has become even more so with the ever changing filters function. Snapchat filters are great for when your selfie needs just a little something extra. Everyone can agree that some filters are better than others so I decided to rank them {as in the ones that were current when I made this} .
1. The Face Swap
To me this is the most entertaining filter because you get to interact with friends, family, and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing what you would like with each other's faces.
2. The Bee/Voice Changer
This one is so adorable and is perfect for when you want an excuse to send a Snapchat. Also it is the original voice change filter, which adds to the cuteness.
3. The Butterfly Crown
All of the crown filters are perfect for "Feelin' Yourself/Treat Yo Self" selfies and the butterfly one is my favorite because it hasn't been over used like flower crowns.
4. The Flower Crown
Not that the flower crown isn't a classic because it is and will possibly never die.
5. The Puppy Dog Face
This one has become a classic Snapchat filter and is probably the most commonly used, because who wouldn't want to be a cute puppy.
6. The Photo Face Swap
Being able to face swap with photos from your phone is a very creative version of the original face swap. This way you are able to face swap with people you can't see in everyday life, like Kim Kardashian.
7. The Original Face Distorter
This filter is nice for when you're feeling nostalgic for fun house mirrors. Also it somehow makes you look cute in a unexpected way.
8. The Rainbow Puker
I love what this one does to your eyes. Also just the simple fact that it makes you look like you are puking rainbows.
9. The Cherry Head
This one is just completely random and I love it. Though it does reminds me of those annoying YouTube videos of that talking orange.
10. The Star Crown
The star crown is another decorative crown that makes your eyes look fantastic and your skin flawless. This crown reminds me of Rachel Berry and aliens. (Due to Snapchat's randomness this filter was apart of the app yesterday, but unfortunately no longer is.)
11. The Deer/Voice Changer
The deer face is almost as cute as the bee face.
12. The Duck/Voice Changer
The duck isn't as cute as the bee or the deer but it is a interesting new take on the duck face.
13. The Mermaid
This one is intriguing and fulfills my low key desire to be a mermaid.
14. The Sunglasses Filter
The sunglasses and shade of color effect is not as exciting as the other filters but I appreciate the 360 experience seen through the glasses.
15. The Instagram Filter
This one is basically the crown filter without the crown, so really it's the equivalent of an Instagram filter: selfie mode ready.
16. The Ad Filter
This filter is only fun because it is constantly switching out for a new one. So you get the entertaining aspect of discovering a new filter, but only for about a minute.
17. The Scruffy Dude with a Mustache Face
This one has it's comical effect but it is rather creepy.
18. The Shining Gold Face
I don't know what it is about this one, it just really freaks me out. Although it sorta makes me look like a goddess so it's kinda growing on me.
19. Nose/Face Distorter
Simply not appealing. Though it does remind me of Hey Arnold.
