6 Times Elle Woods Completely Explained Recruitment Week

Recruitment is a stressful week. Elle Woods knows how you feel. Here are six times Elle Woods explained recruitment week PERFECTLY.

1. When your recruitment team decides to make a rush video.

There has been a lot of controversy about rush videos this year. While, like Elle, some sororities may have a more creative approach, each video has the same goal, to make PNMs want to know more about the amazing organization that the sisters are a part of.

2. When you realize how expensive it is to buy the new outfits for each night of recruitment.

Each year the recruitment team will probably come up with some new, exciting idea to coordinate your sorority's colors into a cute array of outfits so that all of your sisters will match when they meet the PNMs each night. New outfits have a lot of upsides, the only downside being the cost. Be like Elle, and shop for good deals! Try to avoid getting talked into buying the matching earrings that you will probably wear once, and then misplace.

3. When you see PNMs on campus and try to act casual.

It can be super exciting when an incoming freshman tells you that they are interested in recruitment. Try to remain calm and act natural in your initial introduction. First impression are important and these girls aren't conditioned to the level of excitement a sorority girl can reach when they are scouting for their annual rush crush.

4. When you get assigned to talk to the shy girls on Preference Night.

One of the hardest parts of the recruitment process it talking to the girls that are super shy. While they may be hard to talk to, they could be super involved, smart, and athletic, it could just take a bit more than a 15 minute conversation with you to come out of their shell. Give them a chance, Elle would.

5. When your rush crush drops your house.

For some reason, the girl that you KNEW was the little you were always meant to have just dropped your house. This is a heart crushing feeling that many sorority girls experience during their first recruitment "on the other side." Just remember, while she may have been everything you wanted in a little, she can still be everything you wanted in a friend. #PanLove

6. Bid Day!

Panhellenic just dropped off your bid list, and the recruitment chair starts to call off all of the names of your new pledge class. This could be the second happiest moment of your life, right behind the moment an hour from now when your future little runs into your arms!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
