1. Mom and Dad buy you things.
Like food. Who doesn't appreciate free food. After going to college, you realize that food really is expensive, and you cannot live off Ramen all year long. They also buy gas which is really nice because that is another expensive commodity.
2. Work, work, work.
College is expensive, and you have to pay for it somehow. Coming home for the summer is a great way to live for free and rack up some money for when next semester starts.
3. Seeing friends and family.
Getting to see and hang out with my friends I have not seen in the last nine months is great, and getting to see my sisters and boyfriend all the time is a huge plus to being home.
4. No curfew.
I repeat, no curfew. This is like all the joys of high school without a curfew.
5. Having your own room again.
After a year of living in the dorms or wherever you spent your freshman year of college, spending some time at home in your own room, and having your own bathroom and no roommate is absolutely amazing.
6. You have time to catch up.
College can be overwhelming at times, and knowing you have roughly three months to catch up and check a few things off the "to-do" list is an amazing feeling. Binge watching Netflix, crafting for your future dottie, recruitment outfit shopping, and cleaning out a years worth of crap out of your car can really take away a lot of stress.
7. Ready for the next semester.
After three months at home, you are ready to take on Manhattan again, see all your friends, and eat cookie bakes. Coming home gets you excited to be in Manhappiness and start another great semester at KSU.
