Being stuck in rush hour traffic is about as fun as a four hour chemistry lab. If people watching is your thing, then traffic can be a little less of a nightmare. These are six types of people you encounter while in heavy traffic.
1. Emergency lane abuser.
This guy is no nonsense, and bold as they come. He’ll fearlessly merge into the emergency lane without so much as an ounce of contemplation. He doesn’t care about the risk of being pulled over; he’ll take it over the stop and go traffic of the real lanes any day. This is the type you want with you in case of a zombie apocalypse.
2. Shameless karaoke star.
This girl is a performer at heart, and she’s not afraid for you to see it. She’s confident, outgoing, and she’s damn good at lip-synching. She occasionally breaks too fast because her focus is 40 percent on the road and 60 percent on Beyoncé. She knows you’re laughing at her, but she doesn’t care because she’s killing it. This girl is me.
3. Friendly neighborhood trucker.
This guy is driving an 18-wheeler that’s large and in charge. He has the ability to bulldoze through any and everyone who gets in his way. He puts his power to good use, however. He politely hangs back and lets those with tiny little cars change lanes when needed. He’s a gentle giant, so to speak.
4. Small town runaway.
Is that truck street legal? You can’t be too sure; it’s sitting on an eight-inch lift, and are those 35s? It’s covered in a layer of dried mud so thick you’re not even sure what color it is. The guy driving it has a little bit of a tailgating problem, and the smoke coming from his exhaust is concerning, but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
5. Mommy missile.
This woman is on a mission. She’s passing back Cheerio’s to her toddler, quizzing her first grader on his spelling test material and popping in the Frozen soundtrack all while maintaining eagle-like vision on the road. She’s a multitasking queen, and she can’t be stopped. You’re going to have a hard time getting her to budge because she knows exactly where she needs to be, and exactly what she needs to do to get there.
