Everything you already know about life with a little sister. A tiny insight into the crazy, messy, beautiful, loud life as a big sister.

1. She always has your clothes on, always

When did you find the time to sneak into my closet, steal everything I've ever loved and then pretended it was yours?

2. You have to take the blame for something your little sister totally did

She slammed her own finger in the door, Mom!

3. When she starts to grow up and talk to ~boys~

Umm... absolutely NOT.

4. People mistake y'all for twins all the time

Excuse me. I am three years older than her! WHAT?!

5. And you know you're supposed to set a good example but...

Look, I may be three years older than you but honestly, I have no clue what I'm doing.

6. You are ALWAYS the chauffeur

I know we get our drivers licenses first, but like... freedom!

7. She always wanted to hang out with you and your friends

And you usually let her, she is pretty cool.

8. Your parents always let her do things before you got to

I had to wait until I was 13 to get my ears pierced, why are yours pierced at 10? Rude.

9. You bicker enough to be MMA fighters

Wrestle mania got real, and a lot worse when we got a brother.

10. You have the same taste in clothes but ~slightly~ different

11. She is your favorite person to be around, life's just better together

You just ~get~ each other.

12. You feel like her protector, even if she is all grown up

No one can mess with her but you.

13. Sharing a room growing up was the ~worst~

Bunk beds, striped walls, and a shared closet was way too much to handle.

14. When you come home from college and just can't leave her alone

I am sorry, I just love you a lot.

15. When you thank Jesus that your parents gave you a baby sister for Christmas in 2001.

Hey Nat, I love you!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
