I can't believe it, you are about to enter your 21st year of life. You have been on this earth for twenty years and we have grown up with each other for the past nineteen. You have always had my back and been there for me through whatever I was going through. I love you.
I hope you have the best day possible because you only turn twenty once. I hope its full of your favorite cake, your favorite people and your favorite things. After all it is all about you!! I hope the sunshines and there is not a single dark cloud in the sky. I hope you have the best day ever.
I hope this is a year that will never be forgotten. I hope you go on adventures that make your heart smile and your mind alive. I hope you meet new people who have the power to change your life. I hope you live life to the fullest because you have no idea what happens when you do so until it happens. I hope you take many photographs that you can look back on whenever you are sad or need a reason to laugh or smile. I hope you then hang them up in your apartment and they became a part of you because they are memories in photo form.
I hope you cry this year whether it be happy or sad tears because it means that you are living your life and feeling emotions. I hope you find what you are passionate about and pursue it. I hope you are able to look back in a year and be so happy about what you were able to accomplish in 365 days.
Happy Birthday Emma! I love you so much and i'm so lucky to call you my sister, my best friend and my soul sister. You make my dark days better by your laughter or giving me advice when I need it the most. Thank you for always being a FaceTime call or text message away. It's been hard not being with you all the time but it makes coming home so much better because I get to see you. I'll always be grateful that god made us sisters.
I'll never forget the time we moved our beds from each others rooms without dad noticing until we were almost done. I'll never forget the time mom was dancing at SPAC and got yelled at. I'll never forget parasailing with you a few days before you left for school and how scared I was to let got of the handles of the harness. I'll never forget the trips we've been on together or all the memories we have shared over the past nineteen years. Here's to another nineteen years of mishap, laughter and smiles!
Thank you for always putting up with my endless rants about Taylor Swift and my stupid jokes. I've already said this a million times but i love you, thanks for being you.
Here's to the best year yet!!
XO,
Marty
