As both a little sister and a big sister, I know how important it is to bond with your siblings. As much as it may seem like she might hate you, your little sisters look up to you, which is why bonding is so important. Here are a few ways to bond with your younger sisters.
1. Have an impromptu dance party.
...If you consider jumping around to trap music while pretending to be Destiny's Child a dance party, then yeah.
2. Let her do your makeup.
And then do her makeup. Teach her that there is such a thing as too much blue eyeshadow.
3. Compare funny faces.
Yeah, we know we're cute...our mom tells us everyday.
4. Sing at the top of your lungs together.
Sorry, Mom. Our mixtape is due to drop in 2018 and we can't waste any time. When our music makes it big, we'll buy you noise cancelling headphones for Mother's Day as compensation.
5. Create a mixtape album cover together.
Just to show Mom that your intent of creating a mixtape is legit. And then you can post it on Instagram to give your peers a little preview. Everyone will tell you you're weird, but don't worry, they're just jealous that they don't have a sister as cool as yours6. Reenact movie scenes together.
I have nothing to say about this picture except for the fact that Rose could've made some space for Jack on the door she was just chilling on. Bye.
7. Teach her about music from your youth.
How do you expect your little sister to be a successful human being without knowing at least one song by Sean Paul?
8. Listen to her.
All jokes aside, this is the most important aspect of bonding with your sibling. When I got the sense that my older sister wasn't listening to me, I felt like my opinions weren't valued. I know how annoying any sibling could be, but it's important to listen to what they have to say in order for them to develop confidence. Listening to, believing in, and supporting your sister is the best gift you could ever give her!
