If you have a sister, you know how special the bond between sisters can be. In my experience with my younger sister, I have found that not only is she my sister, but she is also my best friend. Since we were little, I have always felt this way, and have been thankful everyday to have her in my life. I know for a fact that there is no one that knows me better than she does, and that there is no one who knows her better than I do. As we get older, I think we are only getting closer, and I would not change the relationship we have for anything. The friendship I share with my sister has made me realize why a sister is the best friend you could have, and what truly makes the bond between sisters so special is the unbreakable connection they have.
I mean, who else could fight over stealing clothes, or about ridiculous things like what movie they should watch, and then half and hour later be laughing like nothing ever happened? Or who could sit there and listen to each other ramble on and on about things the other does not care about, just because the other person is so happy about whatever they are talking about? When it comes to my sister and I, it never matters how much we disagree, or how much we get tired of hearing each other talk, because, at the end of the day, I know that she will always be there for me, and that I will always be there for her, supporting each other in everything we do. We tell each other everything, and whenever something happens to one of us, good or bad, the other person is one of the first people we need to tell. We are always completely honest with one another, and (although it does not always end well at first) in time, we appreciate each other’s honesty, and in most cases we realize that the other person was right, and just wanted what was best for us.
Now, of course, the close relationship we have is also due to how much fun we have whenever we are together. From seeing all of Melissa McCarthy’s movies, to going to Dunkin’ Donuts almost everyday, to having Adele karaoke parties in the car, we are always together, simply because we have the best time that way. We have too many inside jokes to name, that sometimes, even I cannot remember them all. Every time we do anything, we make memories that we laugh about months later, and, believe me, there is no one that I laugh with harder than her.
I know that my sister will be my lifelong best friend. I can honestly say there is no one I would rather have by my side through everything. In my life, people will come and go, but the friendship that my sister and I share is too strong to come undone. I do not know what I would do without her. I love you, Samantha.
