  2. Your friends never have to pay for Ubers because you're always down to DD.
  3. You're in charge of giving your friends the "let's make smart decisions tonight" pep-talk.
  4. You had one wild night...which means your friends will never let you live it down.
  5. You're friends are on the fence about going out and you're obviously the one trying to convince them to stay in, order pizza, and watch a movie with you.
  6. "I am never drinking again" is a phrase you often find yourself saying after a night out.
  7. You're always shocked by the stories your friends tell you in the morning.
  8. You're the one who gets looked at when all your friends are making a scene.
  9. You have yet to learn that just because the party starts at 10 PM does not mean that you have to get there at 10 PM.
  10. You're the one your friends come to for advice about everything and anything...but that doesn't mean they're going to follow it.
  11. Anything that requires too much effort or allows for the possibility of getting in trouble is a no-go for you.
  12. You're always the one who has to remind your friends that something is probably not a good idea.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
