I am an avid show-streamer. I don't watch regular T.V. anymore, I simply stream Netflix, HBO, and Hulu on my computer and tablet. Since it's summer and most of us have a little bit more time on our hands, here are my all time favorite shows to watch and enjoy. Happy streaming!
1. Game of Thrones (HBO Now)
If you aren't watching GoT already, you need to. There's a little something for everybody: romance, violence, sex, war, plot twists, and even zombies (sort of). GoT is my all time favorite show, even though sometimes it infuriates me. It's fast paced, and the best part is you never know which of your characters are safe. The complicated plot keeps you intrigued throughout all of the 6 seasons.
2. Bob's Burgers (Netflix and Hulu)
Bob's Burgers is a hilarious show. It's great because it is an adult cartoon, but it's much more mild than most other adult cartoons out there. The stars of the show, the Belcher family, are each relatable in their own way. I promise you'll fall in love with Bob and his crazy life.
3. Brickleberry (Netflix and Hulu)
Brickleberry is the opposite of Bob's Burgers. It is gut-achingly hilarious because of its vulgarity and extreme adult humor. Brickleberry follows a group of park rangers and their pet bear through their everyday National Park activities. Every time I watch Brickleberry, I end up crying from laughter.
4. Orange is the New Black (Netflix)
This show is dramatic, heart-warming and funny. OINTB is a show about a woman's experience in prison. The first season is based on a real woman's (Piper Kerman) experience, but the following seasons are fictional. OINTB has made me laugh, cry, and scream. It is a great show for anybody who is drawn to humor and heartbreak.
5. Jane the Virgin (Netflix and Hulu)
I fell in love with Jane the Virgin after just one episode. The show is about a woman who was accidentally artificially inseminated, and it follows her exceptionally dramatic life. Jane the Virgin is also great because it is set up similarly to a Telenova, so it offers a different taste from the average American show.
6. Blue Mountain State (Netflix)
If you appreciate immature teenage boy humor (I sure do), BMS is the show for you. It has almost no realistic elements to it, but the humor makes up for that tenfold. Plus, there's even a movie spin-off.
7. The Walking Dead (Netflix and Hulu)
I am terrified of zombies. So naturally, I have really gotten into The Walking Dead. It is a show chalk full of suspense, drama, and terror. The zombies are fascinating as well. This show will keep you on your toes 24/7.
Sometimes you don't necessarily need to Netflix and Chill; there is also Hulu, HBO Now and Amazon Prime. If you are in the mood to binge watch shows, check out the ones mentioned, and see where the site leads you from there.
