How did we entertain ourselves before Netflix streaming was available?! With the convenience of Netflix at merely the click of a button, I find myself guilty of binge-watching more often than not. Over the years, I've discovered so many shows and characters that I've fallen in love with! I know it would be wrong of me to not share some of the very best with you.

1. "Lost"

After the crash of Oceanic flight 815, the surviving passengers find themselves stranded on a mysterious tropical island in the South Pacific Ocean, where they face supernatural elements and unexplained occurrences. This leads them to question whether they are truly alone on the island...?

2. "Grey's Anatomy"

This medical drama is centered around surgical intern and eventual resident Meredith Grey as she tries to balance work and personal relationships with her peers. And, if that doesn't sound appealing enough to you, you should watch for McDreamy and McSteamy!

3. "Orange Is the New Black"

This Netflix original series is based on the non-fiction book of the same title. It revolves around Piper Chapman when she is convicted and sent to a women's federal prison -- a result of being involved with her drug-smuggling girlfriend 10 years earlier. When she arrives at Litchfield Penitentiary, she has to quickly learn how to stand her own ground. Little does she know, her ex-girlfriend, Alex, is going to be right there with her.

4. "Merlin"

Adventure and fantasy await in this epic storytelling of the legendary Prince Arthur and Merlin. Merlin discovers his magic during a time when all magic has been banned from Camelot. He and Prince Arthur bond in this series as young men, but they each struggle to understand and accept their destinies.

5. "Nikita"

Nikita is one of the most underrated shows in my opinion. Nikita is a young woman who seeks revenge on a secret government agency that rescued her from death row, only to mislead her into becoming a highly trained spy and assassin. Nikita is now ready to take them down. Little do they know, she has help within their walls.

6. "Chuck"

Also a highly underrated show, "Chuck" has just the right amount of comedic flare! Chuck is your typical computer geek who inadvertently becomes the CIA's biggest asset, after accidentally downloading the government's most vital secrets to his brain. Unfortunately, this requires him to have round-the-clock protection under two government agents.

7. "The Walking Dead"

Based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series, "The Walking Dead" is essentially a survivalist story. The show follows County Sherriff Rick Grimes after he wakes from a coma to a zombie epidemic. He eventually finds a group of survivors that he bands together with and they fight their way through the new world.

8. "Gossip Girl"

This show is guaranteed to give you New York City dreams! Gossip Girl is an anonymous blogger who grasps the attention of Manhattan's Upper East Side after sending out a blast announcing the return of "it girl" Serena Van der Woodsen, after a year-long mysterious absence. Now that she's back in town, Gossip Girl ruthlessly starts to shake up the lives of her and her friends by spilling all their dirty secrets.

9. "Criminal Minds"

"Criminal Minds" is a police procedural drama unlike any other. Each case this team takes on focuses on profiling their latest criminal in great detail. They work together to analyze and put away some of the country's most twisted minds. While this show can be described as gory or gruesome, the familial bonds that this team develops in the workplace are inspiring.

10. "One Tree Hill"

I always save the best for last! The storyline of OTH sees half brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott as they grow and mature through high school and beyond. Although they start off as enemies on and off their beloved basketball court, they bond through the hardships and struggles they face in the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. And, they couldn't do it without the help of their close-knit friends! One thing that sets this series apart from the rest is that it is accompanied by great background music and notable musical guest stars!
